Huge thanks to The Zurich Community Trust, who have decided to make a grant of £3,000 to Wiltshire Bobby Van Trust’s Stay Safe Online scheme.

The decision to award this grant was been made by the Zurich Community Trust’s local grants Swindon committee, following donations by Zurich employees and matched by the Zurich Community Trust.

It’s wonderful to have such support, and the imput of the employees means a great deal to us.

Thank you Arkell’s Brewery!

In an event to celebrate their 175th year, Arkell’s Brewery kindly chose to use their celebratory Beer Festival to help raise funds for Prospect Hospice and the WBVT – for which we are hugely grateful. We received a wonderful cheque for £2,000 this week – thank you Arkell’s!

Arkell’s 175th Anniversary Beer Festival

This Saturday, 15th September 2018, The Wiltshire Bobby Van were asked to attend the Beer Festival at Arkell’s Brewery, Swindon in celebration of thier 175th Anniversary.

The brewery took the opportunity to use the event to raise funds for the WBVT and Prospect Hospice – for which we are hugely grateful.

Our team spoke to those attending about the work we do across the county, and met up with High Sheriff, Nicky Alberry.

Huge thanks to the Chippenham Lions for thier generous grant to the WBTV of £500. Every single penny helps us to continue helping the older and vulnerable people in our community stay safe and recover from incidents of crime.

Out and about!

Our three Bobby Vans cover miles across the county every day, sometimes the temptation to stop for a 10 minute coffee break at a local beauty spot makes for some great photo opportunities! This week one of Security Operator Mick Leighfield’s coffee breaks was next to the Fovant Badges, Salisbury:

Stay Safe Online information video now available!

Our new video about the Stay Safe Online (SSO) service we offer is now available! Filmed in partnership with Wiltshire Police, it features the work our SSO Volunteer Team undertake.

Tamas Kiss, SSO Volunteer, undertakes a home visit and community talk, whilst Director Jennie Shaw and Cyber Crime Prevention Officer for Wiltshire, Lee Stripe, speak more widely about the service and its importance.
